Covers
Your cover options for the Monarch Book include full textile (leather or linen), a front photo cover with or without acrylic, an inset photo with or without acrylic, an outset photo with or without acrylic, or a photo cover that wraps the front and back. When you start building your album, our software will show you a mock-up of what your album cover will look like. You can also check out our Instagram and Facebook page for inspiration!

Spines
Your spine options for the Monarch Book are either rounded or square. Rounded will have an insert that will be covered in matching textile to your album to round the spine. If you choose a full photo cover that wraps the front and back, your spine option will be limited to square.
Page Thickness
Page thickness is measured in thousandths of inches, which is referred to as points. We use 18pt thickness for the thin pages (0.018 inches thick) and 36pt thickness for the thick pages (0.036 inches thick). Both thicknesses are not foldable or bendable like a magazine. This is professional photo paper mounted on mounting board resulting in a stiff page. If you have 20 or more spreads (40 pages), we recommend thin pages for your album.
Sizing
If you are planning on ordering duplicate albums in a smaller size, the duplicate will be proportional to the original album size. For example, if your original album is a square album, 12×12, duplicate copies can be made into 10×10 or 8×8. If your original album is a rectangular album, 8×12, duplicates copies can be made into 6×9.

Photo Cover Fonts & Colors
Since a photo cover is printed, it can be designed with names and dates in any available font. We like to use these fonts.
Typically, fonts are either black or white depending on the background colors, however, we can make the font any color you like. Placement for type should be about one inch from the edges.
Imprinting Fonts & Colors
The imprinting fonts are seen here. The color options include branded (no color), white, silver, gold, brown and black. However, we can order any color foils if you like something different. Call us today and ask us about different colors.
Gilding & Edges
We can gild your album with either Black, Gold, or Silver. Our gilding process never involves glue or any other subpar technique that results in flaking. Our gilding process has been used since 1979, which uses sanding machines and heat to apply the foils for a long-lasting product. You can also choose no gilding, which is just white edges.
Pinstripe edging uses black and white materials to give edges that sophisticated, modern pinstripe border around each page.
